About Me:
I am currently a PhD student at ISE Department, Lehigh University. I am super fortunate to be coadvised by Prof. Aida Khajavirad and Prof. Frank E. Curtis. My research interests include but are not limited to the interface of optimization and machine learning, large-scale optimization, and nonlinear (and nonconvex) optimization.
I obtained my master's degree in operations research at Georgia Tech. Before my adventure at Georgia Tech, I majored in mechanical engineering (minored in electrical and computer engineering) during my undergraduate studies. I obtained my Bachelor's degrees from both the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with the Highest Honors and Zhejiang University as an Outstanding Graduate. News:
09/12/2024: I passed the Ph.D. Qualifying Exam of the department.
12/14/2023: I got an A on the capstone exam at MIT Micromasters Program in Statistics and Data Science. The capstone exam consisted of four two-hour proctored exams that were comparable to the on-campus versions. Passing this exam also meant I earned the Micromasters certificate! Happy that I survived :-)
08/28/2023: The new journey at Lehigh begins!
03/06/2023: In 2022, I helped Dr. Mary McShane-Vaughn check the equations and examples in the statistics chapters of her new book The ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt Handbook, Fourth Edition, and the book is out now! I am so happy and grateful that I was mentioned in the acknowledgment.
03/01/2023: When I was working at the Academy of Internet Finance, Zhejiang University, I participated in writing a book about financial technology as one of the authors. The book is out now! It is interesting that my first publication is not about engineering.
12/23/2022: I received well above department average ratings for my TA role in ISYE 8813 Mathematics of Operations Research :-)
12/16/2022: Luckily I finished my master's study at Georgia Tech. It was a wonderful journey!
